Our experienced, professional conductors bring the ensemble music experience to life for school-age string players, winds players, and percussionists!

About Us

The Livonia Youth Symphony Orchestras of Michigan will be celebrating its’ 60th Season during the 2018/2019 school year and hope that you will join us as we grow with our eyes on the future.  We are an independent, 501c3 non profit youth music organization comprised of young instrumentalists and committed parent volunteers under the supervision and instruction of our remarkable, professional conductors.  We take great personal pride in our young musicians and their accomplishments.  We put on two concerts a year to showcase these talents.

Spring Fling –
A Solo & Ensemble Concert

This concert will feature Solo and Ensemble pieces that will be played by members of the LYSOM Orchestra conducted by Mr. Carl Karoub.  Please come and support our your musicians!

Our Mission

The Livonia Youth Symphony Orchestra’s mission is to provide musical training to a wide array of students of all levels and backgrounds with music that excites the imagination. We offer incomparable musical training to young people in the region with varied performance opportunities in our full orchestra and our ensembles, encouraging cooperation and collaboration, and enrich the cultural life of the area by nurturing the next generation of artists and audiences. We believe that our programs promote excellence while fostering individual development and prepare students not just as musicians but as community members.

Our commitment encourages members’ lifelong love of music and our performances enrich the musical life of our community.
